This bit is good for horses who:

CHEEK PIECE

The Eggbutt cheekpiece prevents pinching of the lips and gives a solid feel against the side of the horse's face.

It also prevents the bit from being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower than the loose ring and also introduces A VERY light poll pressure.

Mouthpiece

The Ultra Comfy Lock Up has been designed to suit sensitive-mouthed horses. the pressure is spread very evenly over the horse's mouth, The center joint has been offset with the double-locked to ensure that the angle over the tongue remains correct and spread evenly with no nutcracker action, this makes for very little pressure over the tongue even when the reins are taken up, but it retains the individual lateral aids.

The Ultra comfy has a generous curve, to follow the shape and contour of the horse’s mouth.

We have found that the need for softer and softer bits has been growing, as breeding has been producing finer and more sensitive horses.

The Ultra comfy Lock Up snaffle removes the nut cracker action of the conventional snaffle, meaning it will bear less pressure on the horse's bars. The Lock Up is therefore a softer option, than a conventional snaffle, although it still applies tongue and bar pressure when the reins are taken up.

- Made from blue sweet iron, because it:

• oxidizes easily

• encourages salivation

• helps bit acceptance

• is warm and sweet

Please note that due to the oxidization, the blue will fade with use.
